Public Hearing: Repeal and replace the East Vistas Area Structure Plan No. 12-22

OUTCOME OF THE APRIL 28, 2026 PUBLIC HEARING

On April 28, 2026, Leduc County Council gave first, second and final reading to the East Vistas Area Structure Plan No. 06-26, formerly known as East Vistas Area Structure Plan No. 12-22.

Leduc County is proposing to repeal and replace the East Vistas Area Structure Plan 12-22 to designate a Special Study Area for the lands south of Township Road 505 within the East Vistas Area Structure Plan, comprising all of Section 29-50-24-W4M. The Special Study Area is a temporary designation until such time as the future land uses in the area are determined and incorporated through a comprehensive amendment to the East Vistas Area Structure Plan including revised servicing, transportation and road design, off-site servicing, development types and policies.

PUBLIC HEARING:

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 2 p.m. It will be held in the Council Chamber of the County Centre (101-1101 5 St., Nisku, AB T9E 2X3) during the Regular Council meeting. Written or oral submissions can be made by any person who claims to be affected, or from any other person Council agrees to hear from.

• In-person/virtual presentations: anyone wanting to speak at the public hearing must pre-register by Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 4 p.m. To register as a speaker, complete the form below ‘Register to speak’ or contact the legislative coordinator at legservices@leduc-county.com or 780-770-9259.
• Written submissions: comments related to this hearing must be provided by Friday, April 17, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Comments submitted by April 17 will be included in the report. Any comments received after April 17 and up to the date of the public hearing and will be presented to Council at the hearing. Written submissions may be made public, subject to Alberta’s Access to Information Act (ATIA).
