Leduc County is proposing to amend the Land Use Bylaw 14-25, Section 2 of the Mixed Use Commercial District to add the proposed Apartment: Mixed-Use land use to the list of Discretionary Uses to accommodate mixed-use development opportunities within the district. Apartment: Mixed-Use is proposed as a multi-storey building providing for four or more dwelling units located on upper floors, where the ground floor comprises commercial businesses, which may include, but not be limited to; retail, offices and/or local services.

The hearing will take place on April 28, 2026, at 1:45 p.m. It will be held in the Council Chamber of the County Centre (101-1101 5 St., Nisku, AB T9E 2X3) during the regular Council meeting. Written or oral submissions can be made by any person who claims to be affected, or from any other person Council agrees to hear from.
In-person/virtual presentations: anyone wanting to speak at the public hearing must pre-register by April 20, 2026, at 4 p.m. To register as a speaker, complete the form below ‘Register to speak’ or contact the legislative coordinator at legservices@leduc-county.com or 780-770-9259.
