Leduc County will be developing an area structure plan for the lands directly west of the YEG (Edmonton International Airport), north of Highway 39 and south of Highway 19. The subject area encompasses 60 parcels of land totaling roughly 4,600 acres. This land, dubbed Whitemud Landing, is the focus of the County’s future land supply needs to support non-residential development and future employment to promote a diverse and stable economy. This is a long-term plan that will be developed in phases. Agricultural use will be maintained until development occurs.

The area structure plan (ASP) will define infrastructure capacities, required upgrades, and optimal servicing approaches, transportation system assessments and establish a high-level land use concept.

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

County administration will seek public input on the development of this area structure plan. In the timeline below, Phase 1 will focus on informing direct and surrounding landowners of the subject area and non-residential developers who may be directly or indirectly affected by this ASP. Phase 1 also includes one-on-one opportunities for these individuals to meet with County administration and share their feedback.
